FAQs
How do I pay for the session?
Payment is made before or after our session by bank transfer.
What do I do if I need to cancel our session?
I ask for 48 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment. If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, I will have to charge you the usual fee unless we find an alternative arrangement within that same week that suits both of us. All cancellations need to be made in writing via email or text message.
Can we speak before booking an initial appointment?
Yes, I offer a free 15-minute informal chat where you can ask me questions and decide if we can work together.
How many sessions will I need?
I offer short-term and long-term work which can be discussed when we meet. The number of sessions you need is unique to you and your circumstances which means that some of you might find as little as 3-6 sessions helpful, and others need more time.
How do I know if I need therapy or coaching?
We can discuss this during our free 15-minute introductory call but in a nutshell:
Coaching tends to be short-term work with monthly appointments. The focus is on behavioural change and achieving a specific goal although sometimes it can take a few coaching sessions to establish that goal.
Therapy can be either short-term or long-term with weekly or bi-weekly appointments. The focus is to go into depth and explore our inner world - our emotions, mind, and body. We establish therapeutic goals but to achieve them we would look into our past and present experiences.
Therapy ‘pulling weeds’ needs attention before coaching ‘sowing seeds’.
